Pirastro Violin strings are very popular, and Pirastro manufactures many different ranges of Violin string all of which are listed below for you to purchase.

To help you decide which strings you require, we’ve listed some of our recommendations below based on your needs;

Beginners and Students: Generally a steel core is best as it will stay in tune better between lessons we would recommend Piranito or Chromcor. Tonica which has a synthetic core is also worth considering. Whichever you choose they will all be a big upgrade from factory strings that most Violins ship with.

If you require gut violin strings, you have a choice of these Pirastro gut strings; Chorda, Eudoxa, Gold, Passione and Oliv.

Your choice of Pirastro synthetic strings is great. The following ranges have their core made with Pirastro’s patented new synthetic core material; Evah Pirazzi, Evah Pirazzi Gold, Obligato and Violino. Pirastro’s Wondertone Solo strings use a modified version of the new core material. Pirastro also make synthetic strings from other materials such as nylon and polyester, the following ranges have either nylon or polyester as their core; Aricore, Tonica and Synoxa.
