Description

Obligato violin strings have a core made from a modern synthetic multifilament fibre. They sound warm and full, yet have a brilliant, rich overtone spectrum and focused tone. Exhibiting excellent playability and response throughout the entire dynamic range, Obligato strings have fantastic tuning stability.

Pirastro recommends using their Obligato Violino Rosin with these strings.

Obligato Violin Sets

The standard (Gold) set contains the following strings:

  • E String Gold Plated (Loop or Ball end)

  • G String Silver

The steel set contains the following strings:

  • E String Steel (Loop or Ball end)
  • A String Aluminium
  • D String Silver
  • G String Silver

Obligato Violin Individual String Variations

E String Options:

  • Gold Plated Loop end
  • Gold Plated Ball end
  • Steel Loop end
  • Steel Ball end

A String Options:

  • Aluminium wound
  • Chrome wound – impervious to hand perspiration with a brighter sound than the aluminium variant.

D String Options:

  • Silver wound
  • Aluminium wound – warmer sound than the silver
