Pirastro Bass Rosin is an opaque yellow soft rosin with good grip. Pirastro developed this style of rosin for double basses so its texture and lightness will complement your instrument's natural sound.

Description

Pirastro Obligato double bass strings have a core made from a modern synthetic multifilament fibre which is wound with chrome steel. They are bright, brilliant and focused and have a growly tone which is especially true for the E-string. They have a very quick response and are suitable for both arco and pizzicato playing. In summary, they are an exceptional and well-balanced set of bass strings which are completely impervious to changes in temperature and humidity.

If you are looking for a synthetic cored string with more sustain than Obligato when playing Pizzicato we would recommend trying Evah Pirazzi double bass strings.

Also available in solo tuning and 5ths tuning.
