Dominant solo double bass strings are the solo tuning variant of Thomastik’s renowned synthetic core Dominant double bass strings.
Thomastik Dominant double bass strings are made by Thomastik Infeld in Austria with a highly flexible, multi-strand synthetic core and are chrome wound. They provide the tonal warmth and the feel of a gut string whilst not being affected by changes in humidity. The Dominant bass strings have a sound that is soft and clear with very stable intonation, they are also rich in overtones. Dominants are a medium tension string and are also available in orchestral tuning in 3/4 size only.
