Astrea Violin Strings

Description

Astrea strings are an excellent budget, beginner or student violin string; they are a great upgrade from the factory strings that most student violins come with as new. All Astrea strings are fitted with a ball end so that they will fit any violin fitted with fine-tune adjusters on the tailpiece. They come in three different sizes, 4/4-3/4 to fit full size and three quarter size violins, 1/2-1/4 to fit half and quarter size violins and 1/8-1/16 to fit eighth and sixteenth size violins.

Astrea strings all have a steel core and the E string is plain steel. The A, D and G have a steel core and are chrome wound. They are an excellent budget string at a great value price.

These strings have been popular over the years as a budget student violin string. Other strings worth considering are D’Addario Prelude, Pirastro Piranito or Thomastik Alphayue.
