Spirocore Viola strings have the perfect blend of resistance and sensitivity, clarity and depth of sound. They work well throughout all registers of the Viola. The C and G strings are very popular to mix with other brands such as Larsen and Jargar Classic.
Spirocore Viola Set Contents
The Spirocore Viola strings set 4/4 size (S23) is available in three different tensions, the most popular is medium tension and the sets contain the following strings:
- S18 – A string, spiral core and chrome wound with a brass ball end.
- S19 – D string, spiral core and chrome wound with a copper ball end
- S20 – G string, spiral core and chrome wound with a nickel ball end
- S22 – C string, spiral core and chrome wound with a brass ball end
The 1/2 size set (S664) contains the following strings:
- S660 – A string, spiral core, aluminium wound, with a brass ball end
- S661 – D string, spiral core, chrome wound, with a copper ball end
- S662 – G string, spiral core, chrome wound, with a nickel ball end
- S663 – C string, spiral core, silver wound, with a brass ball end
String Sizes and Scale Lengths
Spirocore Viola strings are available in two different sizes; 1/2 and 4/4
- 4/4 size is ideal for 37 cm vibrating length (scale length). However, they are usable from 36.0 cm up to 37.5 cm
- 1/2 size is ideal for 32.5 cm vibrating length (scale length).

Within the Spirocore range of 4/4 Viola strings, there are two different options of the A, D and G strings, and three different options of C string. All of the string options are listed below:
- S17 – A string, spiral core, aluminium wound, with a brass ball end
