Detailed Operational Information
To protect you and our workforce, we are operating as outlined below to ensure safeguarding while trying to work as close to business as usual as we can while there is the risk from the Covid-19 virus.
All online orders are unaffected and are shipping as usual. We would like to encourage customers to use our website in preference to calling in if possible. You can place orders via our website.

Instrument Hire / Van Deliveries
There will be no significant changes except for our staff not entering buildings. All deliveries will be contactless and to the outside door of your building as we are not permitting our team to enter the customer’s premise. We have full live satellite tracking and delivery updates by text message and email so that customers can see when we will arrive. Our van is likely to be very busy with instrument hire and rental deliveries due to an increase in demand. We will try to keep our delivery lead-times to a minimum and accommodate all of our new and existing customers.
Workshop Repairs and Luthier Setups
Our workshop services are operating as close to normal as possible for new instrument Luthier setups with very little if any, delay. Repairs are still possible with special arrangement, please, telephone us for the latest information and procedures for repairs. Repairs are being delayed slightly due to our quarantine procedures.
Our Showroom is closed to the public until further notice. We are aware of the government advise regarding non-essential businesses opening to the public from the 15th June. However, we have taken the decision not to open our Showroom to the public until we consider the risk of the virus to be negligible. We have made this hard decision to protect our staff and customers, whom we value greater than the revenue we make from showroom sales. Another factor influencing our choice is the nature of the instruments that we sell. We cannot disinfect string instruments between customers with liquid products due to the damage that they would endure to their finish as a result. We would have to quarantine instruments as per the guidelines for 72 hours between customers. For example; customer A visits on Monday morning and touches something Customer B wanted to try in the afternoon of the same day. We would have to contact customer B and delay their visit for 72 hours.
We know that customers enjoy visiting us to try instruments, some customers historically travelling vast distances of up to 4 or 5 hours to visit us. We will miss you all as we also enjoyed having you here. However, all is not lost; we have put in place a plan to bring the instruments to you.
Instrument & Bow Trials in Your Own Home
We are trialling an approval service, whereby you can try an instrument or selection of bows in your own home. We will deliver the instrument or bows in a contactless manner to your home for you to try.
We feel that this is the safest way to operate at this moment in time. All instruments will be quarantined for at least 72 hours before delivery, and strict social distancing will be observed. Instruments will be delivered by our staff on our van to ensure safe transport and bows will be delivered by the parcel company.
