Coronavirus (Covid-19) – Service Status

To protect you, our customers and our workforce, we are taking the steps outlined below to ensure safeguarding whilst trying to operate as close to business as usual as we can in these unprecedented times.

What We Are Doing and How it Affects Our Services

First and foremost, we are following the WHO and UK Government guidelines. Within our building, we are operating with a skeleton staff and cleaning the building every day, with hourly cleaning for some surfaces. We also have hand sanitizer available throughout the building.

Visiting Us in Person
We are closed to the public and no longer accepting customer’s visits to our building until further notice. We are still accepting deliveries and collections by courier and postal service only, this is to maintain our online order shipping.

Online Orders
All online orders are unaffected and are shipping as usual. We would like to encourage customers to use our website in preference to calling in if possible. You can place orders via our website here: bassbags.co.uk

Telephone Orders and Advice
Telephone orders are also unaffected, and we remain available to offer our usual high level of product advice and guidance.

Workshop Services / Instrument Setups

Our workshop services are operating as close to normal as possible for new instrument setups with very little delay. Repairs are still possible with special arrangement, please, telephone us for the latest information and procedures for repairs.

Stock and Shipping
We are in a fully stocked situation, and all parcel carriers are operating daily deliveries and collections to/from us. Predominantly we use the Royal Mail and UPS and are upgrading delivery speeds. For example, with our free economy delivery within five working days service, typical delivery times are within three working days. We will update this immediately if service levels change.

Instrument Hire / Van Deliveries

There will be no major changes with the exception of our staff not entering buildings. All deliveries will be contactless and to the outside door of your building as we are not permitting our staff to enter the customer’s building. We have full live satellite tracking and delivery updates by text message and email so that customers can see when we will arrive. Our van is likely to be very busy with instrument hire and rental deliveries due to an increase in demand. We will try to keep our delivery lead-times to a minimum and accommodate all of our new and existing customers.

These are unprecedented and difficult times for everyone, not just our small family business. I know that musicians and people who work in the arts are facing extremely challenging times due to the nature of the industry and the lack of audiences. I hope that everyone will stay safe and well.
