We fit Dominant cello strings to some of our rental cellos and some of our cellos for sale as an upgrade. These strings are a really good upgrade and work well on the majority of cellos.
Thomastik Dominant cello strings have been around for a long time and have become very widely used. Their sound is similar to gut strings due to their synthetic core which gives them tuning stability, unlike gut strings.
The sound is full and warm yet rich in overtones. The Dominant cello strings set is not affected by changes in temperature, remaining very stable.
The sets contain Chrome wound strings. The C and G strings are available separately in either Chrome or Silver wound.
