This double bass string winder is excellent for speeding up string changes on your double bass. The string winder has a removable head with a standard hex fitting for attachment to cordless screwdrivers or drills for extra speed and ease. We use these string winders attached to cordless screwdrivers to speed up string changes in our workshop. We use the head in conjunction with a variable speed cordless screwdriver. This is because the screwdriver is much less unwieldy and heavy than a cordless drill, making it much easier to use. Either way, variable speed devices are much better than single-speed tools. If you don’t have a powered device you can use the handle supplied which attaches to the head and locates with a reassuring click.
